This is a personal web page that has been in existence for many years in various incarnations.
The reason for the web page is multifold: I want to have a forum to express myself in print. A web page (however little read) is one way to do that. Secondly, it is a place for me to place some resources in one place that I use on a frequent basis. Third, I want to share what I consider to be timely commentary by others, and fourth, I want to present an opportunity for people to come to Jesus Christ as Savior. If one thing has become apparent since September 11, 2001, this is fundamentally a spiritual conflict, and it must be waged primarily in that realm. We are at present woefully unprepared (those of us who are believers) to wage war in this arena. Those who don’t know the Lord are absolutely clueless.
I want to add thoughtful commentary on the current scene that describes the spiritual underpinnings – and recommend action – for today. He is able to do exceedingly, abundantly above all we ask or think, according to his Glory by Christ Jesus. He who has all authority in Heaven and Earth can handle anything, if we are willing to pay the price to ask Him to do it. And there is no restraint with the Lord to save by many or by few. Even by you or me. Think about that. What would it take for God to use you in His work? Do you want Him to? Will you ask Him to do it?
The owner (myself) is a Bible-believing, Christian, Conservative, American. I am active in serving the Living God, and would love to help edify you in your relationship with God, and His Son Jesus Christ. If you don’t know Him, I would love to show you what a wonderful, kind and loving person He is, and persuade you to reach out to Him. I am a former Atheist (later Agnostic) and found Him (or rather was found by Him) by reading the Bible. He has demonstrated His reality and grace to me so thoroughly that although I have never seen Him, I love Him and will serve Him until I die. I want you to come with me where I am going. The journey is full of Joy, and the end is beyond comprehension.
In some of the opinion pieces I am a bit ‘in your face’, but hopefully not annoyingly so. Some of my opinions are pretty strong, but I am willing to be rebuked if you feel strongly enough to call me on something. I promise to prayerfully consider your constructive criticism. Abusive or imprecatory emails or letters go to the great electron bin in the sky - immediately. So don’t expect an answer to that kind of stuff.
If you are really serious about discussing some issues, I will try to respond, but only as time permits. I am not going to waste time on minutia, nor do I wish to debate with people who have some kind of axe to grind. Kingdom business calls me, I am glad to confess.
The opinions that I have published are my own, and I will stand responsible for them, for better or for worse. I have included some other’s works; some of which I considered pretty thoughtful stuff.
I also added a bunch of links, but I don’t endorse everything found in them. Sorry, you will just have to sort that stuff out yourself. Obviously, I found something about the links I liked, or I would not have included them. I’ll try to keep them up to date.
